Terry McWilliams, founder and owner of Texcellent Heating & Cooling LLC, built this company on a simple but powerful belief: Do it right, or don’t do it at all.

A lifelong Texan, Union Journeyman, and proud husband and father, Terry’s journey reflects a deep commitment to craftsmanship, honesty, and service with purpose.

From early hands-on fieldwork to advanced certification in building science, Terry saw first-hand how the HVAC industry often overlooked the why behind system performance. He decided to build something different — a company that doesn’t just swap parts or chase symptoms, but tests, diagnoses, and designs true comfort solutions based on data and precision.

Building a Legacy of Professionalism and Performance

Under Terry’s leadership, Texcellent has become known across the Gulf Coast for its uncompromising attention to detail, scientific approach, and customer-first integrity. A proud UA Local 211 contractor, Terry ensures that every technician carries the same pride in their work that defines the best of Texas tradesmanship.

    He holds multiple national certifications, including:

  • BPI Building Analyst Professional – Whole-Building Performance
  • BPI Certified – Blower Door, Infiltration, and Duct Leakage Testing
  • NCI Certified – Residential Air Balancing & Duct Optimization
  • NATE Certified – Heat Pump, A/C, Air Distribution, & Light Commercial Refrigeration Installation and Service
  • OSHA & NCCER Certified – Workplace Safety and Craft Standards

Terry is also an advocate for manual-based design, utilizing ConduitTech, TrueFlow Grid testing, and MeasureQuick analytics to ensure every Texcellent system performs exactly as designed.
